CONVENTION BUSINESS IN BRIEF
Accredited representatives attended the Convention as follows:
38 delegates from 23 organizations belonging to the League. 24 of-
ficers and committee members, one individual member, Ministers’
wives, Mrs. Ingibjorg Olafsson, Mrs. Lilia Eylands, Mrs. Ethel
Sigmar.
Reports submitted by officers, committees and all 23 societies
of the League showed increased progress over last year.
Finance—The treasurer’s report showed receipts of $120.22. In
bank the previous year, $78.72. Disbursements $92.20. Outstanding
cheque $2.50. Balance in Bank, $109.24.

Sunrise Lutheran Camp — Treasurer’s Report showed in the
General Camp Fund: Receipts $1,317.26. Bank balance June 9, 1953,
$2,229.84. Total $3,547.10. Disbursements $941.46. Bank balance,
May 26, 1954, $2,605.64. Total $3,547.10.
Children’s Trust Fund — Receipts $163.96. On hand June 9, 1953,

Memorial Fund — Bank balance, June 9, 1953, $133.29. Bank

Sunrise Camp, Operational Report — Receipts, $2,735.30. On
hand, June 9, 1953, $1,532.30. Total, $4,267.60. Disbursements,

Plans for a $6,000.00 renovation project at Sunrise Camp were
completed and authority given the Camp Committee to proceed
immediately with plans for installing plumbing. A plan to raise the
necessary funds by the Camp Committee, namely, the sale of $1.00
Gift Certificates, was accepted.
The Camp Director, Mrs. Ingibjorg Olafsson, reported a larger
attendance than previously and the need for more leaders. She
