years later, when her only son, Halldor, died in Chicago leaving
a young widow and small son. These sorrows she faced with the
kind of courage and fortitude that sustained her during the long
months of her last illness, taking joy in the closeness of her many
friends and the visits of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Vernon Jones and granddaughter, Marilyn, who travelled from
Chicago to be with her.
A loyal, sensitive and loving person, Anna had a way of being
available when needed. No one stood alone who had won her
friendship.
