Portia de Rossi leikur f kvikmyndinni For-
setasonurinn sem sýnd er á Stöð 2 Bíó í
kvöld. Hún er fædd árið 1973 f Ástralíu
og var skírð Mandy Rogers en breytti um
nafn 15 ára gömul. Portia lærði lögfræði
en lék í auglýsingum inni á milli og fékk
svo hlutverk í gamanmyndinni Sirens á
móti Hugh Grant árið 1994. Það var svo
þremur árum sfðar að fólk fór að taka eft-
ir henni, en þá lék hún f Scream 2. Ári síð-
ar var henni boðið hlutverk f Ally McBeal
þar sem hún skapaði sér nafn og hefur

eftir það leikið í nokkrum
sæmilegum kvikmyndum.
Frægðin hefur þó kostað
sitt og þurfti Portia að glíma
við anorexíu um tfma. Hún
hefur þó náð sér af henni og
hefur líklega aldrei litið 1
betur út en nú. Portia er
iesbísk og er á föstu með
spjalfþáttastjórnandanum
og leikkonunni Ellen
DeGeneres.
