Ársrit Bandalags lúterskra lcvenna 65 Mrs. Ingibjorg Olafsson has consented to act as Camp Director again this coming camp season. We as a body, sponsoring a project such as our camp, are very conscious of a real debt of gratitude we owe Mrs. Olafsson for her untiring and unselfish work and time she has devoted in bringing Sunrise Camp to the point of develop- ment it has reached to date. Her God given guidance and wisdom has been a pilot light to all of us connected with this work from its beginning. We say thank you, Mrs. Olafsson, from the bottom of our hearts. A few of our Ladies’ Aids have placed on their agenda a special effort to raise money annually for the camp funds. May I respect- fully urge all the Aids, large and small, to have a yearly effort to raise money and send it to our Camp Treasurer, Mrs. Anna Magnus- son, Box 296 Selkirk, Man. Even though your members are few, and you feel the little bit you can send is not worth much, every little bit helps. Putting forth the effort is worthwhile, as it brings the camp into the consciousness of the public in your community. We trust we may hear from every group in the membership. Sun- rise Lutheran Camp is a shining example of what can be accom- plished by a group of women, such as the L.W.L. We, the descend- ants of the pioneers, who fought so hard for their very existence and that of their families, still possess the spirit and faitli of our fore- fathers to venture forth to build and maintain a project síich as our camp. We have succeeded in building and operating a church camp where we can foster Christian fellowship and encourage group living, which is so important for the normal development of our youth, and in some small but tangible way, show them the better way of life for their future. If we, in a small way, can accomplish this, none of us have lived in vain. Our faithful and generous friend, a pioneer of Winnipeg, Mrs. Bertha Curry, of Santiago, California, has again opened her heart and hand to benefit Sunrise Lutheran Camp this vear. Mr. S. Palmasson has just completed building a hut at camp that Mrs. Curry is donating, completely equipped with beds and bedding, as well as replenishing our crockery for kitchen and dining room. On former occasions Mrs. Curry has donated money for various items, to mention one big one; that of erecting the fence on the west and north of our property, as well as replenishing our
