Mrs. S. Olafsson.
CONVENTION BUSINESS IN BRIEF
Accredited representatives attended the Convention as follows:
31 delegates from 16 of 22 organizations belonging to the League
including Dorcas Society of First Lutheran Church, Winnipeg, and
Betel Ladies Aid, Silver Bay, Man., who joined the L.W.L. at this
Convention. 18 officers and committee members, one individual
member, Mrs. H. B. Skaptason, five ministers’ kives, Mrs. S.
Olafsson, Mrs. R. Marteinson, Mrs. V. J. Eylands, Mrs. Sigridur
Sigurgeirson and Mrs. J. Fredrikson, three ministers, Dr. R.
Marteinson, Rev. S. Olafsson and Rev. S. Sigurgeirson, 56 in all.
There were many guests, among them, Frú Guðbjörg Kristjáns-
dottir from Gu'llbringusyslu, Iceland.
Reports were submitted by officers, committees and 19 societies.
All showed progress in their respective endeavours.
It was decided to incorporate the Lutheran Women’s League.
Finances—the Treasurers report showed Balance írom previous
year $82.04; Receipts $67.16; Disbursements $71.10; Balance on hand
May 23, 1951, $78.10.

Sunrise Camp — Treasurers report showed: in the General
Camp Fund, Bank Balance Sept. 14, 1950, $1,208.20; Receipts
$619.85; Disbursements $155.55; Banlc Balance, May 29, 1951,
$1,672.50.
Memorial Fund—Bank Balance Sept. 14, 1950 $58.88; Receipts,
$200.74; Bank Balance, May 29, 1951, $259.62.
Children Trust Fund—Bank Balance, Sept. 6, 1950, $218.12;
Receipts $132.84; Loan returned $150.00; Bank Balance, May 29, 1951,
$500.96.
The Camp Director, Mrs. I. Olafsson gave a full report on the
operation of the Camp. There were splendid leaders, accommoda-
tion was good also all meals. She urged visitors in groups to visit
especially at the closing sessions. In the youth groups, Confirmation
classes to attend the sessions in a body from as many Congregations
