as possible, in the adult open house, Aug. 25, 26th business people.
The children’s Trust Fund is open to any child who requires
financial aid in order to attend camp. Huts for 10 - 12 and the
leader are required. One such has been built and fully equipped
by the donor Mrs. Curry of Santiago, U.S.A., and is known as
The Curry Hut. This would be a lovely way to build a memorial.
The following resolutions were adopted:
1. The promoting of Camp consciousness (a) by presenting one
paper or talk a year in the different Ladies’ Aids about the Camp.
(b) By having moving pictures of activities in Camp; this íilm
to be used for advertising in the different communities. (c) By
distributing Camp folders, either by mailing to parents or in Sunday
Schools.
2. That each society make a donation, sponsor some function
or in some other manner aid the Camp financially.
3. That the closing concert be made known, by bringing home
to our Aids the fact that the closing concert for each group will
be held on the evening previous to the closing date stated in the
folder and that parents and friends be urged to attend.
4. That the date of the closing concerts be printed on the
Camp folders in the future. It was suggested Post Cards of the
Camp be printed for the convenience of the Campers and tourists.
Library — The library fund showed: Receipts $38.00; Debits,
$20.71; Cash on Hand, $17.29. The library is fairly well filled with
books but donations of periodicals and suitable books are welcome
also toys for the smaller children. To augment the fund for sundry
expenses, ladies in the League are asked to tax themselves ten
cents a month for this year. Icelandic books for young people are a
necessity as these are sometimes requested.
Temperance — Mrs. A. S. Bardal, L.W.L delegate to the Tem-
perance Alliance gave a report on the work being done by the
Manitoba Temperance Alliance. Resolutions adopted (a) to use
influence to inform young people of the danger of liquor (b) have
films offered by the M.T.A. shown in homes, public schools and
Sunday Schools. Mrs. Bardal was re-elected as our M.T.A. delegate
and $25.00 donated to their funds.
