70 ÁRDÍS Ardis Fund: Carried from last year $759.86; Receipts $817.01; Disbursements $796.00; Balance in Bank and on hand $780.34. (Total receipts over disbursements this year, $20.48.) It was decided to set the price of next issue at 75 cents, resolutions adopted: 1. Ardis be published as in previous years. 2. That the various Aids in the L.W.L. buy copies of Ardis and donate them to hospitals and other institutions. 3. That some of the Ardis funds be appropriated to build a hut and name it “Ardis” at Sunrise Lutheran Camp. It was pointed out that funds on hand are for the next issue, it is therefore necessary to sell the new issue to replenish the fund. Sunday School Work — Mrs. Elizabeth Bjarnarson gave the report of the S.S. effort, told of visits made to the interlake districts. Mrs. Rhoda Freeman resumed responsibility for the continuation of this work, with the co-operation of Betel Ladies Aid of Silver Bay it is felt this work will show ever greater growth. Resolution adopted: That all Ladies’ Aids and individuals give help to Sunday School work. Handicraft—Mrs. Soffia Wathne gave the report as follows: To purchase three fully equipped looms for use in Sunrise Lutheran Camp. Accept the loan of 2 box looms to start this new handicraft project in August when the teenage girls are in camp. Mr. and Mrs. A. Wathne donated $10.00 and with voluntary collections $41.50 was realized for the purchase of looms. Donations of odds and ends of wool is welcome for this work. The delegates were requested to tell their groups at home about this project. The handicraft exhibit proved as successful as ever. The Name Quilt made and donated by the Langruth Ladies Aid, is beautiful, The Camp colors blue and yellow were not carried out as this quilt is meant for the hospital hut, which is Langruth Ladies Aids’ responsibility. Instead it was made in blue and white with Luthers Coat of Arms m the centre, the Red Cross of the hospital and small designs of the Camp Emblem, the rising sun, as well as a beautiful verse and the names of the delegates attending the 1950 Convention. A name quilt is made annually. World Day of Prayer—Mrs. Helga Guttormson reported programs had been sent to each Aid. Now that each Aid had the
