Árið 1991 var leitað upplýsinga um fjölda viðtakenda fjárhagsaðstoðar sveitarfélaga aðeins hjá sveitarfélögum með 700 íbúa eða fleiri, en til sveitarfélaga með
400 íbúa eða fleiri árin 1992-1995, og sveitarfélaga með 300 íbúa eða fleiri frá og með 1996, en sveitarfélögum með 250 eða fleiri íbúa árin 1999 og 2000.
Data on the number ofpersons receiving social assistance was obtained from municipalities with 700 inhabitants or more in 1991. In 1992-1995 data was
obtainedfrom municipalities with 400 or more inhabitants, in 1996-1998from municipalities with 300 or more inhabitants and as of1999from municipalities
with 250 or more inhabitants.
