The World Medical Association is honoured to have you, the physicians of Iceland, in our
international family of medicine; as a founding member in 1947 and as a vibrant and active
(and very influential!) partner in 2018. We enjoyed a most remarkable General Assembly
in Reykjavik this year, for the first time in conjunction with an ethics conference. We are
grateful for the support and enthusiasm we have received from your association and our
congratulations come with the hope that this excellent collaboration will continue for the next
100 years.
