Floral news from Iceland by Ingimar Öskarsson.
This essay reports on some new localities for vascular plants in Iceland as well
as on some new forms which have not been mentioned before.
The most remarkable findings are:
1. Botrychium lunaria (L.) SW. forma microphyllum f. nova. Gunnarsstaðir at
Breiðifjörður, W. Iceland. Smaller than the type. The steril leaf very small,
not pinnate, fastened to one of the tiny branches of the sporangia.

3. Carex dioeca L. X C.canescens L. (Syn: C. microstachya Ehrh.). Brennistaða-
skógur in Heydalur, N.W. Iceland. Found in abundance on moist ground, but
only in one locality. New to the Icelandic flora. (See fig. 2).
4. Cerastium Edmondstonii Murb. & Ostenf. Kaldalón. Found at a height of a
few metres above sea level. New to N.W. Iceland.

Iceland. The stem is lacking or nearly so. The rosette densely leafy, the leaves

land. New to the lcelandic Flora.
7. Erigeron boreale (Vier.) Simm., var. pycnophyllum v. nova. “A typo foliis
caulinis valde densis, calathidiis numero 3—10, recedens.” Differs from the
type by its very densely placed steam-leaves. The heads 3—10. (See fig. 3).
8. Epilobium collinum L. forma lactiflorum f. nova. Vík in Mýrdalur S.E. Ice-
land. The corolla milk white.
9. Leontodon autumnalis L.
forma leucotrichus f. nova. Kelda in Mjóifjörður, N.W. Iceland. Involucres
light-green and whitish wooly. Styles yellow. Otherwise like the type.
forma purpureus f. nova. Ármúli, N.W. Iceland. With a single head, which
is much larger than in the type. The outermost flowers purple outside. Very
few examples were found together with the type.
10. Puccinellia maritima (Huds) Parl. Saltadý at Hamrar in Haukadalur W. Ice-
land. Met with here at a distance of ca 15 Km. from the sea. In moist, stony
place, where groundwater containing Calciumcarbonate is oozing out. In Ice-
