SUMMARY Diatoms in the Submerged Peat in Seitjörn by Jón Jónsson. The present paper is mainly an extract of a paper, Niváförándringar pá Is- land, that will soon be published in Geografiska Annaler, Stockholm. The writer presents a diagrant of the occurrence of diatoms in the Seltjörn peat. Tlie cliagram shows that at the time when the formation of peat started Seltjörn was quite separated from the sea and probably its level was then at least as high as the present high water leved. The peat was formed entirely in fresh water. A list of diatoms found in the Seltjörn section, is added.
