Flosi Hrafn Sigurdsson and Thórir Sigurdsson
of the Icelandic Meteorological Office for vari-
ous aid, to Professor Sigurdur Thorarinsson
and the late Jón Eythórsson for their encour-
agement; to Páll Theodórsson of the Science
Institute, University of Iceland, for computing
discharge with the isotopic method, to scouts
in Akureyri for carrying instruments up to the
glacier. Last but not least I will express my
gratitude to the farmer Steinn Snorrason at
Sydri Bœgisá in Oxnadalur and his family for
their hospitality and help throughout the ob-
servation period of this study. The work was
supported by the Icelandic Science Fund.

BÆGISÁR JÖKULL
Rannsóknir á veðurfari, landmótun og bú-
skaparháttum Bægisárjökuls fóru fram árin
