MECHANICAL ENGINEER
The embedded software designer will work on developing state of the art microcontroller controlled medical products to
improve people’s mobility. The embedded software designer will be part of an interdisciplinary team within R&D, working
closely with other R&D units.

The mechanical engineer will work on developing state of the art microcontroller controlled medical products to improve
people’s mobility. The mechanical engineer will be part of an interdisciplinary team within R&D, working closely with
other R&D units.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Embedded software programming with C/C++ for devices
running the ARM architecture
• Participation in requirements analysis together with internal
and external partners
• Documentation of code and testing activities
• Development of suitable testing equipment and methods
• Software verification according to international standards
• Participation in risk management activities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design of electronics architecture based on existing modules,
including power electronics, FPGA, Arm Cortex MCU and
communication channels
• PCB design
• Participation in FPGA coding
• Participation in requirements analysis together with internal
and external partners
• Documentation and testing activities
• Development of suitable testing equipment and methods
• Participation in risk management activities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Hardware design on both system- and component-levels, including
molded parts, soft padding components and lightweight structural
components
• Cooperation with prototyping labs and aesthetic design teams
• Optimization of hardware for manufacturing, cost and performance
• Participation in requirements analysis together with internal and
external partners
• Documentation and testing activities
• Development of suitable testing equipment and methods
• Verification of mechanical parts according to international standards
• Participation in risk management activities
QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in field related to software development
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in programming of
embedded systems
• Experience with feedback control systems preferred
• Experience in medical device development preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in field related to electronics development
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design of electronics
• Experience in EMC/EMI compliance preferred
• Experience in FPGA preferred
• Experience in medical device development preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical development
• Highly proficient in SolidWorks
• Experience in injection molding preferred
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis preferred
• Experience in medical device development preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English

á IVF klíníkina Reykjavík. IVF klíníkin Reykjavík er einkarekin
deild sérhæfð í rannsóknum og meðferðum á ófrjósemi. Við
framkvæmum til dæmis tæknisæðingar, glasafrjóvganir og
smásjárfrjóvganir. Við vitum að meðferð sem mætir þörfum

Verkefni
IVF klíníkin er að leita að starfsmanni til að sinna fjölbreytt­
um verkefnum í þverfaglegu teymi. Verkefnin sem tilheyra
starfinu eru samskipti við sjúklinga á staðnum, í síma og
tölvu, vinna við eggheimtur, fósturfærslur og tæknisæðing­
ar.

Vinnutími
