1 Tölur eiga við árið 1995. Meðtaldir eru sjúklingar á litlum sjúkrahúsum með minna en 90 legudaga. Við innlenda skýrslugerð hafa bæði innritunar- og
útskriftardagar jafnan verið meðtaldir í fjölda legudaga en í alþjóðlegri skýrslugerð aðeins annar dagurinn. Hér hafa legudagar og meðallegutími verið leiðréttur
með tilliti til þessa. Figures refer to the year 1995. Included are patients who have been admitted in small hospitals for less than 90 days. In Iceland both the
day of admittance and the day ofdischarge have generally been included in the number ofbed-days but only one ofthese days in the other Nordic countries.
Here number bed-days have been corrected as to include only one ofthem by reducing the number ofbed-days by the number ofdischarges x 0.9.
