einstaklingum. Ekki urðu heldur marktækar
breytingar á flúoríðþéttni viðmiðunarhóps-
ins þá daga, sem tilraunin stóð. Ekstrand
o. fl. (8) birta í ritgerð sinni frásogsferil
fenginn eftir töku 1,5 mg af flúoríði í töflum
frá erlendum framleiðanda. Af honum má
ráða að hámarksþéttni, 60-65ng/ml hafi
náðst eftir 45 mínútur og er það mjög sam-
bærilegt við okkar niðurstöður.
SUMMARY
Plasma fluoride concentration in 12 volunteers (dental
students, aged 22-28 years) living in Reykjavik and vi-
cinity was determinded three times during an interval of
eight hours. The mean plasma fluoride concentrations
of each subject ranged from 5.9 ng/ml to 19.9 ng/ml
(fig. 1). For the group as a whole the mean plasma
fluoride concentration was 11.9 ng/ml ± 3.8 S.D.
Considerable fluctuations were seen in the plasma level
in seven of the twelve subjects.
The absorpti.on of fluoride from sodium fluoride ta-
blets of domestic origin (0.25 mg F-/tablet) was also
studied. Peak plasma concentration of fluoride was
obtained in 1 hour and it was back to normal level seven
hours later.
Fluoride in plasma was determinded with a fluoride
selective electrode.
