This specialist instrument is com-
pletely self-contained. Within minutes
the central field may be tested for
presence of defect or comparison of
macular function. The front of the
instrument is removable for dark
adaptation tests and additional fronts
are available for specialist require-
ments.
This instrument employs the same
doubling prism principle as the
Goldmann applanation tonometer
and is ideal for use at an early
post-operative stage on seated or
recumbent patients.
The tonometer is light, compact
and portable, the power source
being two batteries housed within
the handle.
