The station is located on bench mark FM24. which is set vertically into the
tQP °f a lava outcrop on the most prominent eastward extension of the west canyon
wall overhanging the southwest end of the upper falls of Gullfoss in southwest
loeland. The bench mark is located abcut 1.5 meters west of the rim of the west
canyon wall, about 0.3 kilometer north of the tourist parking area, and about 40
fneters above the falls (foss). The station can be reached by traveling 0.7 kilo-
meter north on the gravel road to Kjalvegur from its intersection with the Gull-
foss road.
