This table shows the results drawn from the circlings
in copses near Ásólfsstaðir and Norðtunga. I am not ac-
quainted with any other circlings made in copse-growths
here in this country, but though the general appearance
°f the biological spectra is alike in all places, there is
yet some difference. E and H are everywhere the dom-
inant species, but it is noteworthy that the percentage
°t E is highest near Hlíð, and what is most peculiar
about this is that this difference shows almost solely
in the most southerly species El. As I have no weather
fcports from all these places to compare together I
cannot say anything about this matter, but it seems like-
iy to me, judging from the vegetation, that the climatic
conditions are mildest at this point in Hlíð. There is so
