Búmenn are now working on a
more diverse service for the elderly.
One of the ideas is called “home
protection” and the intention is to
provide the elderly with daily service
while at the same time offering them
their own private area where they
can “reign”.
Búmenn have also started collab-
oration with local authorities where
the co-operative undertakes to build
and finance different kinds of service
buildings that facilitates the service
for our members in many areas at
that location. We know that inde-
pendence, health care, as well as
financial and social security are the
issues that matter generally most
in people's lifes. That is the reason
why we want the Búmenn flats to
enable people to live a dignified life
to the fullest for as long as they can
