Electronic Research Library
The Electronic Research Library is being developed on
national level in all the Nordic countries. In this
article the development in Denmark and Finland is
described where the different models are explained.
Both started national development in 1998 with
funding from central sources but the execution of the
plans has differed strikingly. NORDINFO, Nordic
Council of Scientific Information provides fmancial
support to Nordic developmental projects as well as
Nordic conferences and competence development
and through its strategy also supports the concept of
a Nordic Electronic Research Library which aims at
coordinating national development and facilitate
access to research and technical information across
national boundaries.
