28 Seismic Refraction Measurements around the Faeroe Islands
Acknowledgements.
The NASP-data are the result of the combined work of a
large number of people and I am grateful to all those who made
their contribution to the project. The paper was mostly written
during the winter 1974/75 which I spent at the university of
Durham and I want to thank especially prof. M. H. P. Bott
for hospitality and helpful discussions. I thank Mr. J. E. Lewis
for information on the free air anomaly and Mr. P. M. Swin-
burn for a timeterm program.
The work on the Faeroe Islands was supported by Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft (W. Germany), Natural Environment
Research Council (UK) and Statens Naturvidenskabelige
Forskningsrad (Denmark). The author’s stay at the university
of Durham was supported by Observator Marie Vinter Han-
sens rejselegat.
