SUMMARY
Tertiary fossils from Mókollsdalur, NW-Iceland.
The Mókollsdalur fossil locality on the northwestern peninsula of Iceland
contains an abundant plant flora and insect fauna, consisting of at least 7 genera
of plants and 2 genera of insects. The Icelandic geologist G. G. Bárðarson dis-
covered this site in 1910 and reported two species of Fagus (beech) in 1918.
