off.

Sea, only a small belt of winter fast ice along
the Greenland Coast from Angmagsalik to Cape
Brewster and scattered belts and blocks north
of 68° N with eastern boundary about from
6800/2250 to 6830/2300 to 6850/2130 and 6905/
2030 to 6930/2145 to 7000/2020.

The average distance of the drift ice bound-
ary from Cape Straumnes 85 miles with nearest
approach of 70 miles.
3/i As described under March 28 a 5—10
miles broad belt of winter fast ice is observed
along the Greenland Coast from about 67° N
to Cape Brewster. The distribution of ice
belts, fields and blocks along the fast ice is
very unregular, its eastern boundary running
roughly frorn 6500/3700 to 6530/3400 to 6730/
3200 to 6730/3100 to 6740/3045. Thence ice
free to 6800/2800 to 6725/2540 to 6745/2225
to 6840/2200 to 6830/2500 to 6920/2200 to
6915/2120 to 6950/2030.

frorn 6655/2645 to 6650/2450 to 6635/2600 to
6655/2645. Drift ice from 6710/2600 to 6920/
