an elephant as high as the trees come out of the forest
and up to the trees. Here it looks round attentively, lifts
up its ears and, when it has found their scent, goes towards
the hollow in the rocks. Vilhjálmr swings himself up onto
the rock and, when the elephant advances against him,
intending to devour him, he manages to chop off its upper
jaw with his sword, Samiron. Now the lion runs out from
the hiding-place under the rock and attacks the elephant
