creature and from there to Ermlaug’s house and so on
to Trekt, where they stay for some time. He sends a
messenger into the forest to fetch the elephant bones
which he left there earlier. They are very precious objects.
The elephant’s bones are said to be twenty-five (ells,
fathoms, or the like) long. Afterwards Vilhjálmr sends a
message to all the surrounding kingdoms whose kings
have been carried off by the trolls and tells of their fate.
He gives to each man the kingdom to which he is entitled
by birth and to Isakar Trekt and the realm belonging to
it. Afterwards he departs with his father, Krisedus and
