The relationship between the *Ab-MSS.
A4 has never consisted of more than two leaves,
which have been inserted in an older MS (272); this
means that it cannot have been the exempiar of any
of the other *Ab-MSS.
All the other 6 *Ab-MSS contain independent
variants that show that none of them can have been
the exemplar of any of the others.
Of the *Ab-MSS, A3 is the one with the fewest
independent variants. It has therefore been printed
as representative of the *Ab-group in the present
edition. The list of variants printed below is intended
to be exhaustive:
2:8 vard A3] var A4, SÁM 6, 423, W 108, 1159.
