Sea Level Fluctuations in Tórshavn, Preliminary Results
TABLE IV Harmonic constants for Torshavn. The Greenwich Phase lag is the
lag of the constituent relative to the phase of the relevant component of
the astronomic đriving force measured at Greenwich. The local time lag is
the time that the constituent lags behind (in case of minus : leads) the
driving force. Amplitude and phaselag have been corrected for nodular mo-
dulation.(ADD.LAG : Additional lag, GR.P.LAG : Greenwich Phase Lag,

Meteorological influence Having determined — to a certain
degree — the astronomic tide, this may be subtracted from the
original time series. Referring to the resulting series as »Reduced
water level« we may investigate to what degree this series is
of meteorological origin.
