Ársrit Bandalags lúterskra kvenna 69 might be lowered. Therefore it behooves us to work with all our might in getting new campers and by so doing not only are we filling our camp but we are giving children and young people the glorious opportunity of worshipping God in the sweet and whole- some environment of camp life. There will be a change at the camp this year. Mrs. Olafson, our beloved camp director, has resigned from her duties and her successor will be Mr. Frederick Lueders, theological student from the North-West Seminary, Minneapolis. He has had considerable experience in camp work. Mr. Lueders will be accompanied by his wife, who will assist him in his work. We regret Mrs. Olafson’s decision to resign as camp director. She has become a part of our camp and I think the camp, a part of her. We accepted her resignation with sorrow. Never has any one given as much time or endless love to the camp as she. God bless her for her quiet strength of which she has given to all. I have a feeling that Mrs. Olafson will be in the background guiding and aiding us all where camp matters are concerned. She will, I hope, serve for many years to come on our camp committee. I would like to draw attention anew to our Children’s Trust Fund, which I think you all know is for children without means of paying the camp fee. The Trust Fund becomes somewhat depleted each year and so we throw ourselves upon the generosity of our friends and of our League to replenish it. It would be sad indeed if children desirous of entering our camp would be denied that joy because of lack of funds. The Sunday School work has been partly taken care of by the effort of Rev. Bragi Fridriksson, who has given much of himself to that work in the Interlake district. The Board of Parish Education of the ULCA sent out a station wagon with three very capable workers, the Rev. Horner Middle- worth, Miss Catherine Juram and Miss Eleanore Gillstrom. This trio conducted workshops for vacation church schools in all parishes that were able to take them in. The workshops were for Sunday School teachers or whoever could teach V.C.S. Nothing has been done regarding Temperance except we send a donation to the Temperance Alliance and Mrs. Bardal is sent to the Temperance Alliance Convention from the League each year.
