It is encouraging to know that in the last few years a number
of our younk women have formed organizations and are energeti-
cally setting to work. The latest to join have been “Junior Luther
League”, Langruth; and “The Women of St. Stephen’s Lutheran
Church”, St. James.
We are happy to welcome them all to the Lutheran Women’s
League, and wish them God’s Blessings and success in their efforts.
My hearty thanks go to all who support Ardis: the Editorial
Staff, the Sales and Advertising Managers who often work under
difficulties in the country, the men and women who so generously
donate advertising year after year—and Ladies—let us patronize
them at every opportunity, and let them know that we appreciate
their kindness.
May God bless the Lutheran Women’s League, its members and
all its endeavours.
Sunday School Report
By BENA FREEMAN
Madam President, Delegates and Friends:
The Sunday School committee reports as follows:
At the Synod Convention last year a Committee was formed
namely, the Parish Education Board. This Board has representatives
from the Synod and the Lutheran Women’s League. Therefore
the Sunday School work is being carried on through this com-
mittee. There will be vacation schools in all the country points
and St. James. A school for prospective workers was held in
Winnipeg on April 26th.
A Sunday School Teachers Conference was held in the First
Lutheran Church, Winnipeg, on Sunday April 22nd. There were
approximately 80 present from Mountain, N.D., Langruth, Lundar,
Selkirk, Riverton, Arborg, St. James and Winnipeg.
Many interesting discussions took place the speakers being Miss
Gillstrom, Miss Jaram, and Pastor Middleswarth and Mrs. B.
Bjarnason.
The Deacons provided a turkey supper followed by Church
Service. In place of a sermon a missionary film was shown.
