of our work . . . The Editors make every effort to give both
lcelandic and English reading matter in equal portions in each
issue.
We are of the opinion that the Lutheran Women’s League is a
very worth-while organization for the women of our Synod. With
pride and gratitude we listen to the reports of achievements of
the various member societies at each annual meeting . . . some
of these have as few as 12 members. Unceasing effort put forth
to provide the necessary funds for their congregational work merits
our thanks and the best of good wishes for the future.
With heartfelt Greetings from the Lutheran Women’s League of
Manitoba to the Icelandic Evangelical Lutheran Synod of North
America in session at Vancouver, July 1956, and congratulations
and best wishes to the Icelandic Lutheran Church, Vancouver.
May this your new church home be an inspiration to you to further
effort in the advancement of our beloved Lutheran Church.
