Eythorsson’s (1952) map. The good correspond-
ence between the seismic and the gravity sur
veys in the region just to the east of Grímsvötii
has enabled the determination of the regional
Bouguer anomaly 8b (—15 mgal), and use of
the data in Fig. 9 has revealed an important
