Samanburður á efnahvarfarofi í Borgarfirði eystra
og tveimur lapplenskum dölum
Mælingar á efnahvarfarofi og aflrænu rofi í Hrafndal,
Borgarfirði eystra, og lapplensku dölunum Kidisjoki
(N-Finnlandi) og Latnjavagge (N-Svíþjóð) endur-
spegla mismunandi berggerð svæðanna og úrkomu.
Aflrænt rof er meira í Hrafndal þar sem gróðurþekja
er minni en í Kidisjoki og Latnjavagge. Um 80% af
aflrænu rofi í Hrafndal á sér stað í leysingum, þegar
úrkoma fer yfir 40 mm á sólarhring og aurskrið eykst
í hlíðum dalsins. Í Lapplandi er veðrun minni en í
Hrafndal og efnahvarfarof í tengslum við snjóbráð í
vorleysingum ríkjandi.
