11818 Bjorno: Bjom Jonsson at SkarSså (1574-1655), the author
of SkarSsårannåll, see Annålar I pp. 28-45. He was blind during
the last years of his life. He was considered an expert at runes and
has among other things, in 1642, written a treatise about runes which
has been preserved in a series of copies (see PEGl. Mom. IV 279-
84). Cf. the Introduction p. XXVIII.

11910 Hauks thætte Håbrokar: The piece quoted, which B. S.
to piease Worm has transcribed into runes, is taken from the Flatey-
jarbok (I, 1860, p. 577) which came into B. S.’s possession in 1647.
Doubt has been raised about this date, see Den store saga om Olav
den hellige, utg. av O. A. Johnsen og J6n Helgason, p. 1030; but
information that has appeared later shows that it must be considered
as certain, see Annålar IV p. 282.—Hauks jnåttr håbrokar is also
found in AM 49 fol., a copy after the Flateyjarbok, together with
other extracts from it made for B. S. by Jon Erlendsson.
11920 Historia Tryggonica: Olafs saga Tryggvasonar, surely the
text of the Flateyjarbok, see Flateyjarbok I p. 68 (ch. 40) from
which the following account derives.
11 g27 Olafi Tryggonij historia: It can only be a question of AM
310, 40, which Worm owned, see Worm’s letter to Stephanius on
Sept. 28th, 1633 (Appendix no. 4 with note), in which he States
that he has a specimen of the saga of Olaf the Saint. This specimen
can be AM 68 fol. only, which in earlier years was bound together
with AM 310, 40, and only severed from it by Åmi Magnusson.

son, ed. by F. Jonsson, 1932, p. IV. B. S. cannot have been aware
of the faet that AM 310, 40, has a version of the saga differing
