were found, although some Trichuris ovis
were found in the large intestine of the ex-
amined sheep. No attempt was made to
make a more exact identification of the
eggs.
Faecal samples: autumn, winter, and
spring 1999 (Table 6)
The results are grouped into Nematodirus
battus eggs, other Nematodirus eggs,
strongyle type eggs, Trichuris ovis eggs,
Eimeria spp. oocysts, Dictyocaulus filaria
larvae, Muellerius capillaris larvae, and
Fasciola hepatica eggs. No attempt was
made to make a more exact identification of
the parasites.
Results are graphically set up in Figs. 4-
7. The figures show the distribution of par-
asites as epg or opg, and the distribution of
larvae as proportion infected of examined
lambs and ewes, respectively, for strongy-
les, Nematodirus battus, and other Nema-
todirus spp. in Fig. 4, Trichuris ovis in Fig.
5, Dictyocaulus filaria and Muellerius cap-
illaris in Fig. 6, and Eimeria spp. in Fig. 7.
