A resolution was passed recommending greater effort towards soliciting advertisements and selling copies of “Ardis” that the subscription fee may remain unchanged, but, should the publication committee find it necessary to increase it, that the maximum rate be fixed at 60 cents. The resolution also recommended that all articles, obituaries and pictures be handed in at the convention, or soon after, to hasten publication of the magazine, and that the proportion of the English and the Icelandic language this year remain unchanged from last year. 2. The Revised Constitution — Mrs. Henrickson read the constitution as revised and translated by the committee in charge, and expressed in legal phrasing by Norman Bergman, Barrister. It was discussed and voted on, clause by clause, and passed with one or two minor amendments. 3. SUNDAY SCHOOL WORK — Mrs. Elizabeth Bjarnarson gave a report on visits along with Mrs. Anna Skaptason, to the Lake Manitoba districts. Rev. R. Marteinson, out there as visiting pastor, paved their way. Interest in this work was in evidence among the people, and it was carried on faithfully all year at the Ralph Connor School. The League has supplied some lesson material and hymn books for this work. The convention expressed its appreciation of the fact that, commencing this fall, those districts will benefit from the services of the new Lundar-Langruth pastor, Rev. Skuli Sigurgeirsson. 4.
