3. LOKAORD
Á íslandi mun hreinsun skolps vera nær
óþekkt, enn sem komið er. Hefir verið treyst á
það, að nægileg þynning fáist, með því að veita
skolpinu í sjó. Ekki er vitað hvernig ástand
sjávar er með tilliti til veirumagns. Væri mjög
freistandi að kanna það, enda má ætla, með
hliðsjón af því, sem fyrr var sagt, að veirur geti
átt þátt í iðrabólgum hér á landi sem annars
staðar.
Greinin er stuttur útdráttur úr erindi, sem prófessor

»Carl Gustav Carus«, Dresden, flutti á ensku á
fræðslufundi á Landspítalanum 31/10/1983. Íslenzk-

sem betur mátti fara.
Erindinu sjálfu fylgja 43 tilvitnanir. Þeir sem
