Notice of the transfer of the insurance business of Royal London Pooled Pensions Company
Limited ("RLPPC") to The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited ("Royal London").
In accordance with section 114 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (the "Act"),
notice is hereby given that by an Order dated 9 December 2014, the High Court of Justice of
England and Wales has sanctioned a scheme for the transfer of the entire long term insurance
business (as defined in the Act) carried on by RLPPC (other than the Excluded Policies as
defined in the Scheme) to Royal London with effect from 23:59 (GMT) on 30 December 2014
(the "Effective Date") and has made various ancillary orders for implementing the Scheme.
Where, as regards any policy transferred under the Scheme, the "State of the commitment" (as
defined in the Act) is an EEA State other than the United Kingdom and the policyholder has a
right to cancel the policy as a result of the transfer under the law of the EEA State concerned,
that right may be exercised during the period of 21 days following the date of the publication of
this notice or, where applicable, within such other period as may be permitted under the law of
the EEA State concerned. Where the State of the commitment is Norway, the period is four
weeks from the date of the publication of this notice; where the State of the commitment is the
Czech Republic, the period is one month from the Effective Date; where the State of the
commitment is Finland, the period is three months from the publication of this notice.
Any policyholder who considers (on the advice of his or her legal advisers or local regulatory
authority) that he or she has such a right to cancel and wishes to do so may contact Client
Account Management by using the telephone number or address set out below. Please quote
your policy number in your correspondence with us.
