Safety on board
During take-off and landing seat belts must be securely fastened
and seats and tables in an upright position. Seat belts must also
be used at all times when the seat belt sign above the seats is
illuminated. Air Iceland also recommends that passengers use
the seat belts at all times when sitting in their seats. Smoking is
not permitted in domestic air services and on flights between
Iceland and other European destinations. Above the passenger
seats in the Fokker 50 you will find closed overhead
compartments for your hand baggage.
Electronic devices in the passenger cabin
The use of portable telephones, walkie-talkies, remote controlled
toys and other devices specifically designed to transmit radio
signals is strictly forbidden at all times as radio waves could
affect the very sensitive navigation equipment and digital
computers used in modern aircraft. The use of portable tape
recorders, CD players, lap-top computers, vido cameras and
electronic games is limited to the cruising phase of the flight and
forbidden during takeoff and climb as well as descent and landing
phases of the flight. Please show consideration for your fellow
passengers and only use these devices with earphones and
switch off the sound effects of computer games. The use of
heart pacemakers, hearing aids and other devices required for
medical reasons is of course not restricted.
Service on board
Air Iceland crews will do their utmost to make your flight as
pleasant and comfortable as possible. You can call a cabin
attendant by using the call button above your seat. On the
domestic routes Air Iceland offers complimentary coffee, tea,
water and soft drinks for children.
Öryggi um borð
Við flugtak og lendingu er ætíð skylt að hafa sætisbeltin spennt
og sætisbök og borð í uppréttri stöðu. Einnig er skylt að hafa
sætis- beltin spennt þegar kveikt er á viðeigandi
upplýsingaskiltum fyrir ofan sætin. Mælt er eindregið með því að
farþegar hafi sætisbeltin ætíð spennt. Reykingar eru hvorki leyfðar
í innanlandsflugi né í flugi milli Íslands og annarra Evrópulanda.
Fyrir ofan farþegasætin í Fokker 50 eru lokaðar hillur fyrir
handfarangur.
Rafeindatæki í farþegarými
Notkun farsíma, „lab rabb“ tækja, fjarstýrðra leikfanga og annarra
tækja sem sérstaklega eru hönnuð til að senda frá sér útvarps-
bylgjur, er ætíð stranglega bönnuð um borð í flugvélum Flugfélags
Íslands. Notkun ferðasegulbandstækja, geislaspilara, fartölva,
sjónvarpsmyndavéla og leiktækja er aðeins leyfð í láréttu farflugi
flugvélanna og þar með bönnuð í klifurflugi, lækkunarflugi og
aðflugi til lendingar. Notið þessi tæki aðeins með heyrnartólum.
Ætíð skal vera slökkt á hljóðgjafa leiktækja. Notkun hjartagang-
ráða, heyrnartækja og annarra tækja, sem farþegi þarf að notast
við af heilsufarsástæðum, er að sjálfsögðu án takmarkana.
Þjónusta um borð
Áhafnir Flugfélags Íslands leggja sig fram um að gera farþegum
ferðina sem ánægjulegasta. Með því að ýta á hnapp fyrir ofan
sætið getur farþegi kallað á flugfreyju eða flugþjón. Í boði er kaffi,
te, vatn og svaladrykkir fyrir börnin.
