SUMMARY
Energy measurments of five vascular species
in lcelmd.

Dry matter and energy was measured in roots
and tops of five species at the experimental
station Korpa, near Reykjavík, Iceland, dur-
ing June and July 1973. The species tested
were Deschampsia caespitosa, Poa glauca,
Ranunculus acris, Taraxacum and Angelica
of Deschampsia.
The energy measured was on the average
3698 cal/g in roots and 3629 cal/g in tops
and varied from 2489 to 4248 cal/g in tops
of Deschampsia.
