have been used to estimate the heritability
of willingness to run as measured by a
temperament score in Icelandic riding ponies.
Three classes of willingness to run were
recorded (arbitrary numerical values in
brackets) i. e. poor (0), moderate (1) and
outstanding (2).
The heritability of the trait ± s. e. (h2)
was found to be 0,8 5 ±0,11.
