the chieftains and took Urækia as his betrothed.
At once now Partalopi was chosen as emperor, and twenty-
99 four kings seated him on the throne. They chose Marmoria
as queen and seated her beside Partalopi. He took her as
his betrothed there in the presence of all. That day all these
102 chieftains were at Partalopi’s banquet, and immediately
after that preparations were made for the wedding. There

his helmet and all the other armor, Princess Marmoria
recognized him very quickly and became happier than one
could say, and also King Hlodver, his father. Urækia then
came forward and told everything—what she had done to
Partalopi—and then all the men thanked him for his1
faithfulness, and nevertheless Marmoria [thanked her] the
most.
