Arsrit Torfhildar Which smoked with bloody execution, Like Valour’s minion, carved out his passage, Till he faced the slave; Which ne’er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, Till he unseamed him from the nave to the chaps, And fixed his head upon our battlements. Malcolm sonur konungs nýtur, á hinn bóginn, að mestu uppskerunnar: We will establish our estate upon Our eldest, Malcolm; whome we name hereafter The Prince of Cumberland... . . The Prince of Cumberland! - That is a step On which I must fall down, or else o’erleap, For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires! Let not light see my black and deep desires; The eye wink at the hand, yet let that be, Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see. (Act one, scene IV, I. 48-53) 41
