of the wind speed and the energy pr. m2 in
the wind for the period are 5.84 m/s and
2447 kWh/m2/year, respectively.
West, southwest and south are found to
be the most frequent directions of the wind.
The highest mean velocities and mean ener-
gies are found to be in these directions.
The annual frequency đistribution of the
wind speed varies with the direction of the
wind. A separate research (not discussed in
this paper) has shown, that in each direction
of the wind there are considerable interann-
ual variation in the annual frequency distri-
bution. When all directions are integrated,
the resulting frequency distribution also
shows an interannual variation.
It was investigated whether the Weibull
distribution function could be used for mo-
delling the frequency distribution of the wind.
A goodness-of fit test shows that for the pe-
riod, the hypothesis can be accepted on 0.1 %
level of significance in northeast, east, south-
east and southwest, and 2.5% level of signi-
ficance in the north. The hypothesis must
be rejectet by the goodness-of fit test when
all directions are integrated.
