stafi kir'kju ættlands vors mikil blessun. Vér óskum þess, að
þú fáir lifaÖ mörg ár við góða heilsu og fórnir 'Guöi og ættjörð
þinni öllu góðu, sem í þér er. Vér biðjum á sömu leið blessun
Drottins yfir konu þína og börn.
Þegar þú nú fer frá oss, finnum vér til þess, hversu mikið
kirkjufélag vort á þér aö þakka. Á þessari kveðjustund vilj-
um vér votta þér þakklæti allra safnaða og alls fólks kirkjufé-
lagsins. Þín verður minst með þakklæti og ást svo lengi, sem
kirkjul.egur félagsskapur verður til með Vestur-lslendingum.
Sem lítinn vott um þa'kklæti og hlýhug bræðra þinna og
systra í kirkjufélaginu, afhendi eg þér litla minningargjöf, með
þeirri ósk, að hún verði þér til gleði, fylgi þér til æfiloka og
varðveitist í þinni ætt eftir þinn dag. ,

The Canadian Central Committee in behalf of the Norse-
men of Canada takes this opportunity to extend a most hearty
invitation to the members of the Ioelandic Lutheran Church
of Canada to partake with their Norse brethren in the Centen-
nial celebration, June 6 to 9, at Minnesota State Fair grounds.
This invitation is more than an act of courtesy. As Norse-
men we feel that a peculiar bond binds us together with the
Icelander.—Between the Icelander and the Norseman there is
a blood relationship stronger than any that exists between them
and other Scandinavian nations.
We are pleased to inform that the Primas of the Lutheran
Church of Iceland is invited to take part in the program of the
Centennial. We are sure it would be a joy to him if he found
many of his countrymen greeting :him at the Centennial.
We are particularly proud of having Hön. T. H. Johnson
a member of our committee. LIis ancestry is Icelandíc, but
no one will deny our right, if we claim him as a decentant of the
Norsemen.
The committee should be glad to serve many of the Ice-
landic Lutheran Church. Our headquarters would be pleased
