VersaTions TeTralogia – gaBrÍela friðriKsdóTTir
Gabríela Friðriksdóttir says she’s caught between the world of abstract art and
the world of figurative art. Her Versations Tetralogia was presented at the Venice
Biennial 2005 and is finally going to be exhibited in our dear capital on the
13th of January. The exhibition consists of four video pieces the artist made in
collaboration with artists Björk Guðmundsdóttir, Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson, Erna
Ómarsdóttir and Sigurður Guðjónsson. The pieces include musical compositions
by Björk and Daníel Ágúst along with Borgar Þór Magnason and Jónas Sen, all
based on piano melodies that Gabríella improvised.
