and flow structures and wash limits were also clearly
visible from vertical aerial photographs taken on the
jökulhlaup waning stage at 1200h on November 6th
and from aerial reconnaissance on November lth pro-
viding oblique video footage. Three channel cross-
sections were selected on the basis of data availabil-
ity and suitability of reconstructing flow conditions.
Comparisons of pre- and post-jökulhlaup data have
allowed the amount of net channel change to be de-
termined.
