Iceland
The landmollusc Arianta arbustorum
shows a typical East-lceland distribution
(Hjörleifur Guttormsson 1972), like sever-
al higher plant species (Steindór Stein-
dórsson 1962). Three records have previ-
ously been published frorn outside the
normal range, all on the North-Western
fjords, but the species1 regular occurrence
there needs confirmation (Árni Einarsson
1977). On 19 September 1991 two speci-
mens were found at Hamraendar. Snæ-
fellsnes peninsula, West-Iceland (identifi-
cation confirmed by Dr. F. Naggs of the
British Museum). It remains to be seen if
this is an incidental finding or not.
