who have the opportunity to attend. The camping experience
under consecrated Christian leadership can do for the youth of
the Church more than any other medium, except the family, to
make these the best years of their lives.
Teach, help, give, pray for the parish education program of
your congregation.
In Europe the Communists leave the places of worship for
the older people. “You can have them,” they say, “but you can’t
have your children.” They know the value of the education of
the children. Could that happen here? Not if each one will make
these days and years for her children and family the best years of
their lives—Jesus years.
RECIPE FOR A WHOLE MONTH
(This batch will keep for a whole month. Do not spoil by
attempting to make it up at the same time.) Prepare one day at a
time as follows: Mix together 12 parts of faith, 11 of patience, 10 of
courage, 9 of work, 8 of hope, 7 of fidelity, 6 of liberality, 5 of
kindness, 4 of rest, 3 of prayer, 2 of meditation and 1 of resolutions.
Add 1 teasp. good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a jigger
of laughter and a heaping cup of good humour. Garnish with a few
smiles and a sprig of joy. Serve with quietness, unselfishness and
cheerfulness. A happy month is a certainty.
