42 ÁRDÍ S as the letters in that name. It was that club that built and furnished the Sunrise cabin at the cost of $700.00. The following year another cabin of the same size was donated and furnished by Mrs. Bertha Curry, who had sent so many cash donations before. The following year, 1952, another building was added, the Director’s Office. That was paid for from the general camp fund and furnished by the Sunrise Club of Selkirk. AIl the aforementioned buildings were built by Sveinn Palma- son as chief carpenter. Besides that his was an untiring vigil to be on hand to render any assistance he could during the summer seasons and to make any repairs necessary. The last building was erected in 1954, as a part of that costly project of installing sanitary washrooms, toilet and shower. This puts the camp at par with the best camps in Manitoba as far as facilities go. As before the treasurer’s report given at last conven- tion showed that all bills were paid, leaving some surplus still on hand. Indeed the Lord has blessed this project and opened up a way in every difficulty. May the work carried on at this camp always be pleasing in His sight. We the members of the Lutheran Women’s League feel greatly indebted to all who have helped in this work; those who have helped financially, those who have given of their abundance larger or smaller sums, but no less to the many who gave not because they could afford it but because they had faith in the undertaking and were willing to sacrifice for it. We are indebted to all the men who have helped in one way or another. The men that have served on the Board of Directors. In the Memorial Hall there was placed this summer a plaque bearing the names of four Board members who have passed on. It is there as recognition of fine service so graciously rendered. We feel no less indebted to the members still serving so well, and others who have gone to other fields. I could put down a list of many names, but will mention only one; that of the man who has served as chair- man of the Board of Directors since it was organized, Mr. S. O. Bjerring of Winnipeg, who has given more of his time and strength to this project than any other man.
