Ársrit Bandalags lúterskra kvenna 77 hearts of lovers of children. We would very much like to see this camp free to all. But since this is not possible, we want to take in as many needy children as we can without charge. Hence the Trust Fund. Those who are able are asked to contribute to this worthy cause. Our funds were somewhat depleted last year and we are hoping they will soon be replenished. There comes to my mind the story of the porridge pot which when stirred with a certain wooden spoon was always full of porridge. Once when it was stirred too long the porridge overflowed and went rolling down the hill. It could happen that we might find just such a spoon within our organization. I have been thinking that it would not be too hard to start the spoon stirring in the pot. If each of our 23 societies within the Lutheran Women’s League donated enough money to pay the board of two or three children each year, and if each of our 36 con- gregations donated in like manner each year, the porridge pot would never be empty. “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” What more beautiful act than to help them come closer to Christ, for a week in camp brings young and old closer to our Lord. We have another project just nicely started, that is the erecting of a hut for people who would like to come to camp for a day up to a week for a rest and a change from a hum-drum and everyday life. It can be used as a lounge for women who have to wait between buses or for any other reason. We feel that such a hut would add greatly to the general comfort of all concerned. This hut is to be called Ardis Hut, and the fund has already been started. So then we have three funds that need replenishing and adding to. The Sanitation project, the Children’s Trust Fund, and the Ardis Hut Fund. I would like to tender thanks to Mrs. Valdine Scrymgeour and Miss Inga Bjarnason who mimeographed the new constitution at no cost to us but at some cost and much trouble to themselves. Copies of this constitution are now ready to be placed in the hands of each delegate. A short synopsis of the report of the last two executive meetings was sent out by our secretary to the various Aids. This report was
